I'd had a few quotes, as you do when planning a new patio, but I kept seeing the team from Leicestershire Paving Company working on several gardens around my estate. That gave me confidence they must be doing something right, so I looked them up online.

I submitted an enquiry through their website and, literally two minutes later, Jeff gave me a call. I already had a clear idea of what I wanted, having planned this project in my head for a couple of years. I explained everything, and he booked me in for a design consultation.

At the time of writing, the consultation costs £97. Initially, I wasn't sure about paying a fee when every other company I spoke to offered free quotations. However, if you go ahead with the project, the £97 is deducted from your final bill. I agreed, received a payment link by message, and was booked in for the very next day.

During the consultation, Jeff measured the area, listened carefully to everything I wanted, showed me various samples of the grey porcelain paving and grey/blue edging blocks, and explained exactly how the patio would be constructed. One detail I particularly appreciated was that he planned the layout using full tiles wherever possible.

At the end of the consultation, I was given the quotation. It wasn't the cheapest I'd received, but I had a really good feeling about the company and their professionalism. Looking back, the consultation fee was absolutely worth it. They also provided a CAD drawing showing exactly how the patio would be laid out, which really helped me visualise the finished project.

I noticed the drawing didn't show the recessed manhole covers, so I mentioned it. Jeff explained these are included as standard but updated the drawing anyway so it reflected exactly what would be installed. That's customer service.

I decided to go ahead the following day, paid the deposit, and was booked in around two weeks later. A few days before work started, Alan from the project management team visited to check the garden levels and drainage requirements.

On the Monday morning, the portable toilet arrived first, and shortly afterwards Brendan, Yannis and Ben turned up ready to get started. They absolutely grafted from start to finish. Because there's no access for a skip lorry down my cul-de-sac, everything had to be loaded directly into a truck. By the end of day two, around 95% of the patio had been laid, and on day three they finished everything off, including replacing a rotten fence post.

The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and I'm absolutely delighted with the finished result. The whole experience - from the initial enquiry through to completion - was smooth, professional and well organised.

What also stood out was the customer service. Jeff even messaged me on the evening of the second day just to check everything was going well and that I was happy with the progress. Little touches like that really make a difference.

I honestly can't recommend them highly enough. In fact, I'm already planning to ask them for another quote to replace my sorry excuse for a lawn with artificial grass - although I might need to save up a bit first!

A fantastic company to deal with, a hardworking team, excellent communication and a patio that's exceeded my expectations.

From the initial contact, through to the completed project, Jeff and his team put 100% effort into realising our dream garden.

From our basic ideas and our rough sketch, Jeff and Alan produced a wonderful design, complete with drawings, material descriptions and samples.

We recently had our garden completely transformed by Leicestershire Paving Company and I honestly don’t think I can do them justice in a single review but I’ll do my best.

We started with a very typical new build garden… small patio, uneven ground, turf that never quite felt right. What we have now is something completely different. It’s beautiful, low maintenance and actually designed to be lived in and enjoyed by the whole family.

From day one, they were incredible, from initial appointment, through to the design and beyond. Always here early, worked like absolute trojans and left everything spotless at the end of each day. Nothing was ever too much trouble and their attention to detail was next level. Everything just… worked. No issues, no stress, just a team that clearly takes pride in everything they do.

But what really stood out was how thoughtful they were. They brought our girls into the process with branded t-shirts, little wheelbarrows and tools so they could “help”, and even strawberry plants for them to grow. It sounds small but it meant absolutely everything. They also handled something very personal for us with real care and sensitivity, which we’ll never forget.

The end result genuinely has the wow factor. It’s one of those spaces that makes you smile every time you look out of the window. The girls are out there constantly now, doing gymnastics on the artificial grass without mud or mess, whatever the weather.

They weren’t the cheapest quote we received, but they were genuinely worth every penny. The quality of the materials and the finish speak for themselves. This wasn’t just a job, it was an investment in our home and how we live in it.

They made us feel looked after from start to finish and that’s rare these days. Would I recommend them? 1000%.

Jeff and his team have been brilliant from planning with Jeff and Alan to the final creation. The garden looks great. The lads Yanis and Owen with the help of Brendan have been brilliant and the care and workmanship is second to none. A friend of mine commented “The garden is beautiful, no wonder you are so happy with the extremely talented team of professionals. I love the whole garden. Eat your heart out Monty Don!”. From our first contact through to project completion Leicestershire Paving have exceeded our expectation. Jeff came over to discuss our project. During his visit we found out a bit more about the company and the scale of projects that they have worked on. Even though our project was relatively small, we felt we had found a company that cared about the "customer" and paid attention to detail. We really appreciated the little touches that the team thought about. Our drive and path were sheeted to protect them during the delivery of the skip, Portaloo and materials, neighbours were sent a note to let them know about the work being carried out. We had a core team of Billy and Lee with help from Jai who knew what they had to do and kept us informed along the way. We also had a visit from Jeff and Brendan during the 3 day project to check all was in order. We were not expecting to have all of our borders given a mulch topping as well as having our patio jet washed and everything put back where it had been. Where work was done on the front they even cleaned up along the pavement. We would have no hesitation in recommending Leicestershire Paving if you are considering landscaping or paving and want a professional job.

A Fantastic company from start to finish , the guys were professional from the start , understood our vision of what we wanted and gave us ideas based around it. I have been very impressed with the team from Leicestershire Paving Company.
Jeff did the initial garden design and he fully understood the changes I was looking to make in my garden.
A start date for the project was then agreed and the team arrived early that morning. The team of Billy, Lee and Mason (assisted by Brendan for a couple of days) worked incredibly hard over a three and a half week period to create new fencing, decking and paving and a completely new garden design. The guys were reliable and always pleasant and polite and they kept me fully informed throughout the duration of the project.

We couldn’t be happier with the work from Leicestershire Paving Company. From the very start, the communication was brilliant; clear, friendly, and always quick to respond.

Jeff somehow managed to turn our terrible explanation into a perfect design that suited the space exactly. The team who came to do the work were not only efficient but genuinely lovely to have around.

We had the back garden done in March this year, and we now use it every single day, come rain or shine. It’s made such a difference to how we enjoy our outdoor space.

The front garden has just been completed, and it’s totally improved the look of our home. Our driveway is no longer the worst on the street!

Very positive experience with Leicester Paving Company creating a patio and sideway area to complete our home extension. The designer Jeff transformed our desired vision sketch into a helpful visual which we worked together to perfect into the final design. We had sample materials brought to site to approve. The team Lee, Jack and Alan with project support from Misho were excellent.

The team were always available to answer questions and make any minor adjustments. Always very polite, accommodating and thorough which included clearing down at the end of each day. Our project started and finished on schedule without any major issues and we’re very pleased with the final product.

Following a recommendation from a friend, we contacted Leicestershire Paving Company to try to tidy up our back yard / patio area which had been re-slabbed many years ago by another company, but some of the paving slabs had started to break up and crumble. Also the mortar in the joints between the slabs had gradually worn away over the years and in addition to replacing the broken slabs, this was also in need of repointing.

Jeff from LPC came to inspect the area, and we were very impressed with his professional manner, and obvious depth of knowledge. It transpired that he remembered working on our back yard as a young, very junior employee with the company that did the original work.

After measuring up the area, and working out how many new slabs would be required, he provided us with a quotation for the work which we thought was quite reasonable. We knew that there would be a slight delay before work could commence because of the exceedingly wet weather, but he gave us an approximate time for the work to start, and also said that he estimated the job would take two days, which turned out to be accurate.

Contact was maintained during the intervening period, and just before the commencement of the work, Jeff came to see us again, and introduced us to one of the key members of his team (Misho) who would be overseeing the work. Once again, we felt very reassured that we were in capable hands.

On the day that the job started, Misho accompanied the two workers who would be doing the actual job, and introduced them to us (Elliott and Mason). It was immediately apparent that they knew exactly what to do, while Misho ensured that they were kept supplied with the relevant materials, as well as helping with some aspects of the work.

Basically, they just got on with the job and worked extremely hard for the couple of days that it took. They were all very easy to get along with, and apart from the obvious noise of their machinery, we would hardly have known that they were there.

Before leaving each day, they liaised with us to ensure that we were happy with the work that had been done, and we couldn't believe how much better the yard looked. The area still needs to be sealed, but a short time has to elapse before this can be done, and we have been contacted by Misho who has provisionally booked us in for the spring, when he will carry this out, weather permitting.

It is quite obvious that Jeff cares about his client's and the reputation of LPC, and to sum up, we cannot fault this company. From the workers, right through to Kelly in the office, who is very efficient at keeping in touch and answering any queries, we would have no hesitation in recommending this firm to anyone.

I am delighted with the work carried out by LPC garden design company. We had three patios extended this week and a new path created. The operation was very efficient. We found Leicestershire paving in the Swift Flash local magazine, on watching Jeff's online video and home visit that followed we immediately felt we were in good hands. We had an idea of what we wanted, Jeff listened and came back within a couple of weeks with a design that totally surpassed all of our expectations.

The teams who arrived were all very friendly and professional. Consideration was given at all times to our neighbours and their work was carried out with respect and tidy.

We had great fun watching how our garden developed over the weeks that followed, some small adjustments were made without any issues, the communication with teams was excellent, it felt like one big family, and we were included throughout the project.

Each and every one of the team have been amazing, their craftmanship and their attention to detail. Misho led our project and gave regular updates, site visits and WhatsApp communication, and kept everything rolling to plan. Our onsite team leader was Elliot, along with Mason made an incredible team and more than worthy of recognition.

Jeff promised to deliver us a beautiful garden, and we can confirm that after 3 weeks we now have a garden we are very proud of and has created a new outdoor living space which we absolutely love.

Wow we are so pleased with our garden, probably the best investment we have made on our house. We initially spoke to Jeff as we were completing on our new build house. Jeff was recommended to us via the sales office who advised that LPC had designed their show rooms and a number of houses on the estate. We were fortunate enough to see the gardens that Jeff and his team had designed and built.

Jeff came out to meet us at the plot he was only too helpful to suggest different ideas and advised the best way forward is to pull some designs together based on a wish list and our dream garden and the absolutely must haves. We are so glad we paid the initial investment for the designs as Jeff came up with ideas beyond our imagination. Jeff was so easy to work with and tweaked the designs a number of times until we were happy. We then worked with the must have list and the budget. Jeff was very transparent throughout the whole process on costs and worked within our budget.

We have now utilised space in our garden which were unusable areas and our investment has allowed us to use our garden and create new memories within the first few weeks of having it despite the frosty weather that we will cherish forever. Whilst we didn’t get everything on our wish list we got more than we could have hoped for and we are definitely on the journey and trust that Jeff will get us there over the next few years as he has the vision through the designs created of our dream garden.

I could not recommend LPC enough the standards of Jeff and his team have been outstanding they were a pleasure to have around and we didn’t even notice them working away on the garden throughout tough weather conditions. Our garden has been transformed. Billy and Elliott worked tirelessly, and in torrential rain. They rotivated the old and very uneven lawn. Leveled it all off with tons of topsoil. Then they layed our new lawn. Couldn't be happier with their work. It looks amazing boys!!
Two weeks later the boys were back. This time Billy, with the help of, Leigh, Harry and Elliott placed stepping stones in the lawn and leveled up the bottom end of the garden. Layed a u shaped slabbed area, leaving us with a large area for our veg plot. We now just have to fill the bottom with top soil and we will have a beautiful, but also functional garden.
I would like to say a special thank you to Billy, who has worked really hard from start to finish on our garden. He has been extremely professional throughout the job. His talent for landscape gardening, at such a young age, is amazing.
Elliott, Leigh and Harry have also been professional and hard working!
Jeff you have a great team. You must be very proud of them. They have done a fantastic job with our garden. Both Rob and myself are very happy with the results.

Great experience from Leicester Paving, after being recommended. There responsiveness and attention detail pre contract helped confirm I was choosing the correct company with Jeff providing various options via numerous CAD drawings and a thorough scope of works. I was advised the works would take 10 days, of which they achieved this within 8 days. The site team being professional throughout the construction, took the necessary steps to keep the site clear and accessible and without hindering not only myself or the neighbours, as well the Project Manager (Misho) was in regular contact to keep me updated and advise on how the team were progressing.

Jeff (designer) responded quickly to our initial enquiry and was able to come up with a design which met our criteria on the day we met him, and had a detailed graphical design and quote drawn up in a matter of days. Work began just a few weeks later, starting on the date Jeff had quoted us.

The attitude of the on-site team (primarily Jay and Lee, helped on some days by Misho, Mike, Elliot, Harry and Paul) was excellent, always being pleasant and friendly and showing happy demeanours. Any slight adjustments we made to the detail of the design as work progressed were incorporated willingly and there were no hidden extra costs at the end of the work.

The first week of work was very sunny and hot, and the team did exceptionally well with the removal of several sizeable trees in difficult conditions. There was intermittent heavy rain in the second week, which hampered the laying of slabs to some extent, but the team continued to progress with no complaints. After each day's work they cleaned up afterwards and left the site in a tidy condition. The work was completed largely on schedule, with just a slight delay due to the extreme wet weather.

The team's work ethic and quality of workmanship was exemplary, and they took time to keep us informed on the details of their approach as they progressed to check we were still happy and ensure we understood exactly what had been done at each stage. The overall project manager (Misho) did a quality check on the final day to make sure nothing had been missed.

Overall we are extremely happy with the work done and the very professional approach of all team members, and would highly recommend Leicestershire Paving Company to anyone wanting a quality garden makeover.
